Youtuber Omi in a Hellcat Sued for Pirate IPTV

This Iptv Knowledge article delves into the legal action against the famed Youtuber known as “Omi in a Hellcat” for the unauthorized utilization of a pirate IPTV brand.

Allegations suggest that Youtuber Omi in a Hellcat (birth name Bill Omar Carrasquillo) is being brought to trial by the US government over trademark infringement associated with his former IPTV services.

The federal government of the United States scrutinized Carrasquillo in 2019 for operating an illicit pirate IPTV enterprise.

Youtuber "Omi in a Hellcat" being sued for trademark infringement using a pirate IPTV name.

This led to the confiscation of over $5 million from Carrasquillo’s bank accounts and his luxury vehicles by FBI officials and the IRS.

Omi in a Hellcat’s illicit IPTV operation was recognized under multiple monikers such as Gears TV Reloaded, Gears Reloaded, or Reboot.

All these services provided a multitude of channels, VOD content, and more at significantly reduced rates.

A statement from US government officials indicated that Omi in a Hellcat’s pirate IPTV scheme redistributed broadcasts from Comcast, Verizon, Spectrum, DirecTV, and Frontier Communications, purportedly yielding Carrasquillo a substantial $34 million.

In 2022, Omi in a Hellcat declared on YouTube his intention to plead guilty in the hope of receiving a milder sentence than that proposed in the indictment by the government.

Legal Battle for Unauthorized Use of Pirate IPTV Trademark

One might have assumed that after pleading guilty, Omi in a Hellcat would steer clear of any further legal entanglements.

However, in a bid to generate revenue, Carrasquillo launched a merchandise/apparel venture utilizing the “Reloaded” brand, which was also the name of his prior IPTV services.

Upon visiting the Reloaded Merch website, an assortment of apparel including shirts, shoes, hats, and pants can be found.

Presently, Omi in a Hellcat is facing a lawsuit from Nustar Enterprises LLC for infringing on the “Reloaded” branding.

Failing to resolve the matter with Carrasquillo, Nustar Enterprises opted for legal action concerning the trademark infringement of “Reloaded”.

In the formal complaint filed against Carrasquillo, Nustar Enterprises stated:

“To safeguard its rights in the RELOADED trademark, NuStar obtained and now possesses U.S. Trademark Registration No. 6,376,399 in International Trademark Class 025 for the mark RELOADED in connection with ‘clothing and apparel, namely, shirts, jackets, pants, hats, belts, scarves, gloves, socks, underwear, swimwear, and wristbands.’ The RELOADED® trademark was registered on June 8, 2021.”

Nustar Enterprises LLC seeks triple the profits earned by Carrasquillo and Reloaded Merch LLC, as per the complaint.

The company also seeks an injunction to prevent any further usage of the “Reloaded” trademark that may cause confusion, misunderstanding, or deception.
