IPTV Services and Streaming Sites Reported to US Gov

Renowned unlawful Internet Protocol Television (IPTV) businesses and athletic events streaming websites have been communicated to the US Authorities by anti-piracy authorities.

The increasing prevalence of IPTV services and cost-free sports streaming platforms is an ongoing concern for content holders, sports leagues, and broadcasters.

New reports submitted to the United States unveil the magnitude of this issue, underscoring how deep-rooted and extensive live sports piracy has become.

Comparing with the 2022 “Notorious Markets” report, some familiar names are noted in the new 2023 list submitted by anti-piracy authorities.

This article scrutinizes these reports to shed light on the most infamous corporations and the vast environment that supports them.

The United States Trade Representative (USTR) urged stakeholders to recognize significant ‘unlawful markets’ associated with widespread infringement. The submitted reports are now public.

While many organizations, such as the Motion Picture Association (MPA) and Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA), have expressed their concerns in separate submissions, this post primarily focuses on three prominent submissions, all pinpointing the pirate IPTV and live sports streaming sector.

Key Figures in the Anti-Piracy Campaign

Reports by the Audiovisual Anti-Piracy Alliance (AAPA), the Football Association Premier League, along with a joint report by beIN Media and Miramax, present a comprehensive perspective of the difficulties faced by sports leagues and their broadcasting partners.

There is substantial duplication in the pirated services mentioned in different reports, primarily because some rights holders operate in multiple submissions.

Notably, AAPA’s members include industry giants like Sky, Premier League, DAZN, DFL, and BeIN – which itself holds rights to prestigious events from FIFA, UEFA, NBA, and MLB.

The overlap of these major entities presents a clear picture of the industry’s collaborative effort to combat piracy.

Another significant threat comes from Forever TV (and its affiliates Chaloos and Mediastar), topped the AAPA’s submission as well as the joint beIN/Miramax report.

This service, in addition to providing subscriptions, also offers a re-streamer and reseller program, promoting further distribution of its pirated content.

More Pirate IPTV Entities

There are numerous other infamous services, including EVPad with its influence in South East Asia; Family Box, a corporation with a worldwide presence based in Iraq; Globe IPTV, a content wholesaler recognized in Lebanon; and SVI Cloud, a popular service in South East Asia with substantial physical distribution channels.

Other pirate IPTV services listed in the “Unlawful Markets” report include Apollo Group TV, GoGo IPTV, Yacine TV, Cobra TV, IPTV Major, Bobres IPTV, SyberTV, Xtreme HD, King IPTV, Orca IPTV, IPTV Smarty, 4KEVO IPTV, XCTV IPTV, and others.

Abominable Sports Streaming Platforms

Both AAPA and Premier League have identified numerous streaming platforms, with many appearing on both lists.

Livetv sx

For instance, Livetv.sx, a favorite among sports enthusiasts, caters to users in 12 different languages and has accrued over 129 million visits globally since October 2022.

Freestreams-live1

Other notorious platforms include Freestreams-live1, which had to make a domain change following a seizure by Homeland Security Investigations.

The Premier League also mentioned sites like Totalsportek (Poland), VIPBox (Germany), and Xoilac (Vietnam). Meanwhile, AAPA brought attention to platforms like LSHunter.net, Streamonsport, Rojadirecta, among several others.

Concluding Remarks

As technology advances and these illicit entities become more sophisticated, the challenge to combat them grows.

It will be intriguing to see if the USTR incorporates these submissions by the MPA in their infamous markets list at the end of the year and whether or not these entities will be targeted soon.
